These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are entered into by and between You and Higher Things, Inc. (“Higher Things,” “we,” “us” or “our”). By using the Site, you accept and agree to be bound and abide by these Terms and Higher Things’s Privacy Policy which is incorporated herein by reference. If you do not agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy, you must not access or use the Site. ANY PARTICIPATION IN THIS SITE WILL CONSTITUTE ACCEPTANCE OF THESE TERMS.
We may revise and update these Terms from time to time at our sole discretion. We encourage you to periodically review these Terms for any material changes. Your continued use of the Site following the posting of revised Terms means that you accept and agree to the changes.

We may identify certain materials on the Site as being downloadable (“Licensed Materials”). You may download one copy of these identified downloadable materials subject to the restrictions of these Terms. We grant to you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, license to view, print, and make one copy of the Licensed Materials for only informational, educational, non-commercial, personal purposes and without alteration of the materials (the “License”). You can use the Licensed Materials only in the format in which we make them available on the Site for download, and only in authorized distributions.

The Site may use cookies to recognize you and may allow you to automatically log in without re-entering your username and password every time you visit the Site. The cookies are encrypted and may store limited personally identifiable information about you, including your name, username and email address. If cookies are disabled on your browser, you may still be able to use the Site, but you will be required to enter your password each time you visit a portion of the Site which requires a password.
Our Site does not knowingly solicit personal information from children under the age of 13, except where personal information must be solicited from children and/or parents to facilitate participation in Higher Things events or activities. We care about children’s privacy and we take great care to safeguard the personal information of all children. We do not require a child to supply us with any personal information other than is necessary to participate in a specific activity, and we never condition a child’s participation in an activity on the child’s disclosing more personal information than is reasonably necessary to participate in that activity. All personal information we do collect can only be accessed by our authorized staff and volunteers, and only those people who require access may see this information for the purposes described above. We work diligently to preserve the confidentiality, security and integrity of that information.
As a ministry to children, we are deeply committed to the safety and welfare of kids. We have policies and procedures designed to ensure compliance with applicable privacy laws and employ generally accepted best practices, especially as it relates to parental notice and consent. By uploading, emailing, posting, publishing, or otherwise transmitting content to any Interactive Communication Service or submitting any content to the Site, you automatically grant (or warrant that the owner of such materials expressly granted) to us a perpetual, royalty-free, irrevocable, non-exclusive right and license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, transmit and distribute such content in any form, medium, or technology now known or developed in the future. You agree that we own any derivative works, improvements, or other materials, works, ideas, intellectual property, and/or products created from, based on, or related to, our access to, or use of, any materials you provide.
You understand and acknowledge that you are responsible for any content you submit or contribute, and you, not Higher Things, have full responsibility for such content, including its legality, reliability, accuracy, and appropriateness. We are not responsible or liable to any third party for the content or accuracy of any content posted by you or any other user of the Site or Interactive Communication Services. Higher Things will not sell, share, or trade the names or personal information of Higher Things donors, nor does Higher Things send communications, solicitations, or other information on behalf of third parties. Please see Higher Things’s Privacy Policy to understand how Higher Things uses the personal information it receives from its donors and other individuals.
We take the issue of your privacy seriously. All credit card information submitted is protected by SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption or similar technology. We provide your credit card number, billing and shipping information to participating merchants from whom you buy goods or services. All credit card payments are processed using PCI compliant technology, to ensure that your credit card number is securely passed to the merchant. We do not store your credit card details unless you select that option on the Site. These merchants are solely responsible for how they use that information and any other information they independently acquire from you or about you.
Some services offered on certain of our Sites may require a subscription or other fee to receive Services (“Subscribed Services”). If you open an account for Subscribed Services on any of our Sites, you hereby agree to pay all charges to such account, including applicable taxes, in accordance with billing terms in effect at the time the fee or charge becomes payable and following all rules of the subscriptions. If you access our Sites from outside the United States, be advised that the Site may contain references to Information, Content, Materials, Services, products and other information and materials that may not be available, or may be prohibited, in your country. We reserve the right to limit the provision of any of our Sites, any Content, any Information, any Materials, and any part of the Service to any person, geographic area or jurisdiction we choose in the exercise of our sole discretion. The mission of Higher Things is to support the church in passing on the Faith by teaching the next generation the Gospel of Jesus Christ: that they are saved by grace alone, through faith alone, as revealed in Scripture alone.

Higher Things is a global organization operating in different parts of the world through branch organizations, subsidiaries, and affiliates. Therefore, Higher Things may transfer your personal information from one country to another. All individuals in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom need to be aware that we may transfer your personal information outside of the European Economic Area or the UK for processing.
Any transfer of personal information from country to country will be done with appropriate safeguards and in compliance with applicable laws. Higher Things and its European subsidiaries and affiliates have established standard contract clauses to govern the transfer of data from the European country to other countries, such as the United States.

To safeguard and secure the information we collect, Higher Things has applied appropriate physical, electronic and managerial procedures to prevent unauthorized access and maintain data accuracy. The Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol is used where available to encrypt and protect all Internet data transmissions. The padlock icon in your browser’s window signifies that a site is secure. Sometimes password protection is used to protect your privacy and security. Higher Things will continue to augment current security procedures and adopt new security protocols as necessary to meet the standard of care we have promised in our policies and in this Privacy Statement.

In general, Higher Things websites are informational sites for parents and children about Higher Things. It is our intention to provide a safe, fun environment where children and their parents may explore Higher Things, their own Higher Things club and other Higher Things activities. As a ministry to children, Higher Things is deeply committed to the safety and welfare of kids. CALIFORNIA PRIVACY
California residents who provide personal information in obtaining products or services for personal, family, or household use are entitled to request and obtain from us once a calendar year information about the customer information we shared, if any, with other businesses for their own direct marketing use. If applicable, this information would include the categories of customer information and the names and addresses of those businesses with which we shared customer information for the immediately prior calendar year.
